I have been told that I think I know everything, by my family,wife and my friends.I probably do, but, since I am a curmudgeon as well,It tends to rub some people the wrong way. Or is it the right way? What is wrong with stating my beliefs if I think they are correct? If I am wrong, prove it. Otherwise,listen and learn. As you can see, this is my first blog. I have been cautious about stating my beliefs, since they are not copyrighted. LOL I write letters to the editor 2 or 3 times a week. They only print one a month, so some of my best efforts go un- appreciated. I will re do some of them for your edification, and lets see what happens.

Subject: Black History month

I am becoming more upset with Black History Month, and Black Journalists, and the Black Caucus, and the Black Miss America etc etc. I can remember , not so long ago, when the black population was complaining that they were not "Included" and forced their way into all sections of American life. i.e. Miss America contest, positions in the Government (via changing voting districts so that only a black person could win election) forcing guaranteed inclusion in bidding processes and awarding of contracts, forcing desegregation of schools etc. They wanted a "Color Blind Society" Where is it? Now they not only want to be part of this CB society, but want their OWN separate society as well; and if the white people try to do the same i.e. White Caucus, White Miss America, etc they are called Racists. Something is wrong.

The latest is even more upsetting. As you know the majority of Blacks vote Democratic. Now they want "Felons" to be put back on the voting roles, so that they can add to the Democratic block. They claim discrimination since most of the people denied voting rights are Black. Surprise--Most of the Felons are Black. Reason? More Blacks commit crimes than whites. That seems logical to me.

Maybe if fewer blacks would walk down the street with their hats cocked , and an "In your face " attitude, and looking for anyone who they might think has "Dissed " them, there would be fewer felons and a better relationship between the races
